Humanity Demo

Humanity Demo Available Now, Release Date Later this Year

As revealed at the newest State of Play, a Humanity demo is available right now, and the full release will come later this year. The showcase also revealed new PSVR 2 capabilities for the title.

Humanity releases later this year

Humanity will launch in May of this year and will be available on PS5 with PSVR 2 support, or on PS4 with standard PSVR support. The game is being developed by Enhance Games, who worked on Tetris Effect and Rez Infinite. The trailer looks about as weird as you’d expect from that developer, showing a dog protagonist solving puzzles, herding people around, and figuring out exactly what’s going on here.

Humanity was first revealed three years ago, with the game planned to launch in 2020. However, the game was quietly pushed back, likely due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and this is the first we’re hearing of the title since then. The website for the game dives deeper into what it is, explaining that:

“Stranded at the end of the world, people have lost their sense of purpose. You awake as a Shiba Inu and join the people in a series of ‘trials’, attempting to guide them towards pillars of light”

In other news from the State of Play, Baldurs Gate 3 is getting a console release and a Resident Evil 4 demo is coming soon.
