References to Elden Ring DLC were found in yesterday’s patch 1.07, thanks to hawk-eyed dataminers. Twitter user sennoutantei and known modder Lance McDonald both found strings mentioning “DLC” that seem to suggest that new maps, new player customization options, and ray tracing support are all on their way. Sennoutantei also found images of different player hairstyles that were added to Elden Ring’s files and marked as DLC.
FromSoftware’s parent company previously hinted at Elden Ring DLC
That FromSoftware is working on DLC for Elden Ring doesn’t come as much of a surprise, especially given the game’s success and previous hints by Bandai Namco Entertainment and FromSoftware’s parent company Kadokawa. The former told investors back in May it is “considering a number of measures to help customers continue to enjoy this title.”
This hairstyle has a big braid which is reminiscent of Radagon. Overall, the majority of these hairstyles have braids involved, which we mostly see on Golden Order-related characters like Marika, Radagon or Godfrey. pic.twitter.com/fJN7dihHsq

Yesterday’s Elden Ring patch was a pretty significant one as it came with a very lengthy list of balance adjustments and improvements. Perhaps, FromSoftware is gearing up for another content release, ensuring that the game is optimized accordingly ahead of time.
