Techland has finally rolled out a Dying Light 2 patch for consoles, which fixes the annoying death-loop issue. The bug, which occurred on all platforms, caused players who died in a restricted area to respawn somewhere else on the map and not be able to make it back to the mission area on time. A PC patch was rolled out a week ago and has finally arrived on the PlayStation 4 and 5, and Xbox One and Series X/S. “New cases shouldn’t appear anymore,” Techland promised. “And the old ones should be resolved.”
What else is included in Dying Light 2 update 1.06?
Techland has added a new backup save system that allows players to roll back their progress and inventory to the last story save point should they need to. “If you’re trapped, doing a rollback will revert you to a state of the game from that backup save,” the developer explained. “And as you progress through the main storyline, you unlock new backup saves.”
In addition to this, the patch fixes some audio issues on the PS4, and improves stability. Fast travel has also been fixed, and according to Techland, it should now work as intended after the main story has been completed.
