Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 to PS5 Trophy Transfer Being Looked Into

If you have yet to jump into Cyberpunk 2077‘s next-gen version and are concerned about your trophy progress, you might want to hold off. After being inundated with messages from players, CD Projekt RED has said that it will look into the possibility of enabling players to carry their trophy progress over from the PlayStation 4 version to PlayStation 5. However, it doesn’t have any details to share at present.

Cyberpunk 2077 PS4 to PS5 trophy transfer is still being investigated

CD Projekt RED has said that it’s currently investigating the possibility of allowing players to transfer their trophies. The bad news? There are no guarantees that this will be possible. The good news? If CD Projekt RED manages to get the feature working, it “could” apply retroactively. In other words, there’s a chance that if you’ve already restarted your trophy run on the PS5, the trophies you’ve unlocked on the PS4 or your progress at the time of migration may carry over, saving you some precious time. But again, no promises or guarantees.

In addition to the above, CD Projekt RED has said that it’s investigating reports of Cyberpunk 2077’s PS4 disc version not launching after applying patch 1.5. PS4 players reported yesterday that after downloading the patch, their save data became corrupted and they were no longer able to boot the game.

Opinion: Cyberpunk 2077 should have been a PS5 game

Zarmena writes… The amount of issues Cyberpunk 2077 has faced and continues to face is staggering. What was supposed to be CD Projekt RED’s most ambitious project became its biggest headache yet. It’s evident that the game just wasn’t ready and should have never released on dated technology. The studio’s management should have admitted that its lengthy development outran last-gen’s lifecycle and should have instead focused on PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions.

In other news, BioShock 4 has reportedly hit some delays, and The Last of Us HBO show won’t air in 2022.
