High Moon Studios’ Transformers: War for Cybertron looks to take the awful video game series away from movie tie-ins and deliver an unforgettable experience for fans and gamers alike. Transformers: War for Cybertron’s gameplay has been detailed from the ESRB listing.
Transformers: War for Cybertron is looking like the most polished game in the franchise yet. The game will undoubtedly feature a revamped gameplay system, improving upon previous iterations in the series. The ESRB listing states:
In this action game, players control robot-like aliens (Transformers) that complete missions on the planet Cybertron. Players use shotguns, laser guns, machine guns, sniper rifles, and mounted turrets to destroy enemy robots in frenetic battles. Players can shift between third- and first-person perspectives as they lock targeting crosshairs on enemies. The gun battles employ realistic sound effects (e.g., artillery-shell discharge, rapid metallic gunfire, loud explosions), as robots stagger back or explode into fiery bursts when hit. Cutscenes sometimes depict robots getting sliced in half, crushed, or shot at close range.
The game is rated as Teen and will be ‘rollin’ out on June 22nd, 2010. Transformers: War for Cybertron will feature an intriguing aspect of an online multiplayer component which will include a mouth-watering prospect of creating your own custom Auto-Bots or Decepticons.
