Hot Wheels Brings Rocket League to Your Living Room

The Rocket League and Hot Wheels partnership has grown! Both companies announced the Hot Wheels Rocket League RC Rivals Set. Available starting November 1, 2018, it will bring the madness of Rocket League right into your living room.

The set, which will cost $179.99 USD, will come with two Bluetooth-controlled Octane and Dominus cars. The cars can be controlled using your mobile device through a free app. Of course, since this is Rocket League, the set also comes with a Rocket League ball for your matches. A custom field mat, large boost pad station, and scoreboard are also included.

Buying the set will also reward you with some in-game Rocket League items. All purchases will come with a special code to nab you some Hot Wheels items. The code will gift you a Hot Wheels Goal Explosion, Hot Wheels RC Rivals Trooper, and Octane and Dominus decals.

This is only the latest crossover between Hot Wheels and Rocket League. The recently-released Season 9 of Rocket League brought both free and paid Hot Wheels content, fueling nostalgia in players everywhere. In addition, other Rocket League Hot Wheels toys have been released, though those were simply your standard die-cast cars.

In other Rocket League news, Psyonix recently said it “didn’t have any updates” with regard to cross-play on the PlayStation 4. This followed the announcement that cross-play was coming to Fortnite.
