Hot off the heels of the Summer Skirmish 2018, Epic Games has announced that Fortnite will be getting a Fall Skirmish! The news was revealed via the official Twitter account, which promises “major details” soon. However, probably the most noteworthy change to the formula was announced right away, as the prize pool will be $10 million!
That’s a $2 million increase from the Fortnite Summer Skirmish, which had $8 million to throw around. The Fall Skirmish will be shorter than the Summer tournament, lasting six weeks instead of eight.
The weather may be cooling down, but the battle is heating up. Fall Skirmish starts soon, with $10,000,000 awarded across 6 weeks. Stay tuned for major details dropping later this week!

While Fortnite Fall Skirmish details weren’t disclosed, it will likely follow the same format as the Summer Skirmish. That tournament had controversy galore, from a coin flip determining a winner to glitches mucking up the competition. The winner was even accused of cheating, so hopefully, things run a bit smoother this time. There’s no word yet on when the Fall Skirmish will start or how to enter.
In other Fortnite news, the game was just updated. It’s also in the middle of it’s newest event, which adds the heist-themed LTM “The Getaway.” If you want to take your Fortnite experience outside of the virtual realm, it’s getting the Monopoly treatment soon.
