Dragon Ball FighterZ and Xenoverse 2 Information to Be Revealed Tomorrow

Good news for Dragon Ball fans–there will be a Japanese stream at 9:00 Japan time (or 5:00 AM PST tomorrow) that will have new information on not one, but two Dragon Ball titles. The Japanese website teases more information on the Arc System fighter Dragon Ball FighterZ, potentially meaning new stages, characters, and more. Additionally, the stream will detail the contents of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2’s fifth DLC pack.

This stream can be watched on YouTube or NikoNiko. Thank you to Shoryuken for the links and translating the information!

With all the hype around Dragon Ball FighterZ, we haven’t heard much about Xenoverse 2, but it’s a worthwhile game in its own right. Check out our Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 review:

As rough as they were, I was a pretty big fan of the Budokai Tenkaichi fighting game series that Bandai Namco released for the PlayStation 2 era. It’s been great to watch those tournaments re-emerge in the Xenoverse series with its own twist and online gameplay. The first Xenoverse title wasn’t 100% successful with its ambitious endeavors, but developer Dimps definitely learned from their mistakes the first time around. The online game mechanics are incredibly sound; however, the Time Patrol plot device has returned, removing any real newness the game has to offer. In many ways, Xenoverse 2 is a 2.0 upgrade for Dragon Ball Xenoverse and not a proper sequel.

Dragon Ball FighterZ will be available January 26, 2018 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, on the other hand, is already available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC, with a recent release on Nintendo Switch.
