One of the March 2017 PlayStation Plus free games, Disc Jam from High Horse Entertainment is now available on PlayStation 4. If you don’t have a PS+ membership, Disc Jam costs $14.99 USD/£11.99.
A 960MB download, here’s what to expect from Disc Jam:
Disc Jam is a fast-paced action-sports game that pits 2-4 players against each other in a frantic mix of air hockey and tennis. Players scramble to retrieve and throw a glowing disc while unleashing devastating abilities and defending their end zone. An exciting blend of strategy and skill, this arcade-inspired title boasts a zany roster of characters to compete with friends both on the couch and online!
“We just broke our lifetime concurrent player record in the first hour of Disc Jam being available on PS4 EU alone,” High Horse said on Twitter earlier today. They also revealed that stats and ranked play are on the way:

On Reddit last week, High Horse said, “The game is shipping a little earlier than we planned, but it was important to us that we get it into the PS+ lineup and it’s not going to stop us from bringing online more features and more content in the coming months! More characters, skins, discs, maps, modes, and lots of new tech to support competitive play are all on the road map.”
As Exophase shows, Disc Jam doesn’t include a Platinum Trophy, and unlocking the one Gold requires you to win 50 online public matches. Here’s the full Trophy list:

- Shutout! – Win a match without losing a single rally
- Ace! – Score a point off of a serve
- With Authority! – Score the final point of a match using a Super Throw
Bronze
- Challenger Approaches – Complete the Basic Tutorial
- Road to Mastery – Complete the Advanced Tutorial
- Singles Master – Win a Singles match
- Doubles Master – Win a Doubles match
- Stanton Supreme – Win a match as Stanton
- Makenna Maniac – Win a match as Makenna
- Gator is Greater – Win a match as Gator
- Haruka Hustle – Win a match as Haruka
