When I played World of Final Fantasy at PAX West, I said numerous times that this game was just too gosh darn adorable. Sometimes seeing is believing when it comes to levels of cuteness, and I think this new World of Final Fantasy trailer from Tokyo Game Show hits it home.
Bound by prophecy to lead the world to salvation or ruin, they [Reynn and Lann] encounter a multitude of familiar FINAL FANTASY® beasts and characters, including Faris and her pirate moogles (FINAL FANTASY V), Rydia and her companion mist dragon (FINAL FANTASY IV) and the young summoner Eiko (FINAL FANTASY IX). The trailer also features the opening theme song “Innocence” performed by Mizuki.
Part Kingdom Hearts, part Final Fantasy, part Pokemon, and part cup-stacking, World of Final Fantasy has all the potential of besting Final Fantasy XV this year.
World of Final Fantasy will release on October 28, 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Vita.
