Lichdom: Battlemage Update Will Aim to Improve Performance on PS4 & Xbox One

Called “one of the worst performing console games we’ve ever tested” by Digital Foundry, Lichdom: Battlemage will be getting a patch on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One to help improve performance.

Writing on the Lichdom website, publisher Maximum Games acknowledged the disappointment people have experienced with the console version:

We know there’s been some disappointment with the release of Lichdom: Battlemage, and we want you to know that we’re listening. Lichdom: Battlemage is a revolutionary game that deserves to look and feel as good on console as it does on PC, and we’re working hard to address the concerns players have voiced about its performance on console. Your satisfaction is paramount to us, and we want to keep you updated on how we’re working through these issues to improve Lichdom: Battlemage’s gameplay experience.

With the Xbox One version recently receiving an update that slightly improves frame-rate, Maximum Games says a new patch is in development for both PS4 and Xbox One, but there’s no time-frame for its arrival:

Also in progress is a second patch for both consoles that will attempt to achieve even greater improvement in the game’s performance. While we don’t yet have a release date or estimated frames-per-second rate for this patch, it is our utmost priority right now. We want players to enjoy Lichdom: Battlemage at its peak performance, and we’re committed to ensuring that happens as soon as possible.

Maximum Games finished by saying that they’re listening to all of the feedback and they “want to deliver you the best experience, and we’re working hard to make that a reality, and will provide updates as soon as they become available.”
