From Software’s Dark Souls 3 was a hit among YouTubers upon release, going on to become the top trending game on the platform for April, 2016.
Though the company didn’t disclose specific viewing figures, the announcement means that Dark Souls 3 watch time “grew the fastest” relative to its closest competition.
Speaking of which, Remedy’s Quantum Break and hit roguelike Enter the Gungeon round out the top three on YouTube’s Top 10 list. The standings can be viewed below:
- Dark Souls III
- Quantum Break
- Enter the Gungeon
- MLB The Show 16
- Ratchet & Clank
- Gears of War 4
- Doom
- Overwatch
- The Sims 2
- Mirror’s Edge Catalyst
Keep in mind that the likes of Gears 4, Doom, Overwatch and Mirror’s Edge Catalyst hosted beta tests throughout the month of April, explaining those spikes in activity.
What do you make of the standings? Indeed are you at all surprised that Dark Souls 3 came out on top?
