Update:
A NECA rep sent this statement to GameSpot, saying it was all a misunderstanding:
It’s not the case. Someone has misunderstood a comment he made. Randy saw a faked fan-made image right before he came to the show and said that if the game were coming back, we’d love to do figures.
Original Story:
At the New York Toy Fair 2016, NECA Toys Director Randy Falk said something that ended up making rounds online. And that something is the return of Crash Bandicoot. As part of a video interview with Pixel Dan, which you can watch above, Falk showed off a number of toys for Sony’s titles, and then proceeded to say (at 4.11) “looking at some of their [Sony’s] other titles, I see they’re bringing Crash Bandicoot back, which is really cool.”
It’s unclear if Falk is simply referring to Sony bringing Crash Bandicoot toys to the market, but even if that’s the case, it would make little sense to simply bring the toys out without actually reviving the series. Then again, this is just a guess but going by the recent tease from the official PlayStation Middle East team, we can’t even guess what the company is up to anymore.
What do our readers think Falk is referring to?
