XL Pack Announced for Mortal Kombat X Owners, Includes Both Kombat Packs

After revealing Mortal Kombat XL earlier this week, developer NetherRealm Studios went on the Warner Bros Forums to detail the different editions of XL content you can purchase.

First up, when Mortal Kombat XL launches on March 1 in North America and March 4 in Europe for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, it will cost $59.99 through retail and digital stores. It includes Mortal Kombat X, Kombat Pack 1, and Kombat Pack 2.

If you already own Mortal Kombat X, and don’t have the first Kombat Pack, the XL Pack will cost $24.99 and includes the following content:

Kombat Pack and Kombat Pack 2

  • All Downloadable Characters – Alien, Predator, Jason, Leatherface, Triborn, Bo’ Rai Cho, Tremor, Goro, and Tanya
  • Legacy Costumes – Predator/Prey Pack, Horror Pack, Samurai Pack, Kold War Scorpion, Brazil Pack, Klassic Pack 1, Klassic Pack 2, Kold War Skin Pack
  • Apocalypse Pack

Currently, the Kombat Pack is priced at $9.99 on the PlayStation Store.

Finally, if you own MKX and the first Kombat Pack, Kombat Pack 2 will cost $19.99 and includes new characters (Alien, Leatherface, Triborg, Bo’ Rai Cho, Goro), as well as Kold War Scorpion, Brazil Skin Pack, Kold War Skin Pack, and Apocalypse Pack.

NetherRealm hasn’t set any release dates for the characters inside Kombat Pack 2.

On Twitter, Ed Boon said, “The Pit (with background fatality) comes FREE as the compatibility download when we all transition to MKXL.” It will be available to all MKX players.
