Klaus Puzzles the PS4 on January 19 in North America (Update)

Update:

Designer Victor Velasco confirmed that the PS Vita version is still happening:

The Vita is still on the table. We don’t have a firm date, but we will release the Vita version closer to the end of the year. We’re working as fast as we can!

He also revealed that Klaus will cost $19.99:

The price point will be $20 and you’ll get around 6-8 hours of experience. There are two endings, and then there’s the arcade mode if you’re into speed running. There are 40 trophies, and then an extra one for the platinum.

Original Story:

Previewed by us at PSX 2015, Klaus from La Cosa Entertainment is coming to PlayStation 4 on January 19 in North America.

A single-player puzzle platformer with a “non-intrusive narrative,” Klaus includes six worlds, 34 levels, and over 100 rooms, collectible stages, two playable characters, boss battles, a time arcade mode with online leaderboards, and 41 Trophies.

The description adds:

Klaus is a precision-based puzzle platformer with a self-aware narrative and unique PS4 touchpad-based controls. Klaus’s tight & challenging platforming takes inspiration from hyper-precise classics such as Super Meat Boy & Mega Man and combines them with a tense and emotionally engaging narrative akin to those of Limbo and Thomas Was Alone.

With a minimalistic aesthetic and an electronic soundtrack, Klaus will appeal to gamers both for its style and unique gameplay experience.

La Cosa Entertainment didn’t say anything about a European release date, the status of the previously announced PlayStation Vita version, or a price.
