As part of their gamescom 2015 line-up, Konami revealed that Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain will be playable for the public for the first time at their stand (hall 7.1 / B030). Additionally, attendees can try out Pro Evolution Soccer 2016 for the first time.
Konami Digital Entertainment General Manager Martin Schneider said:
Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and PES 2016 will be available for the public to play for the first time at this year’s gamescom; and that´s the kind of line-up that packs a punch. Konami is going to present two stunning games for the current console generation at the most important consumer exhibition in the world, and further showcases Konami’s commitment to bringing AAA-titles to the consumer.
The Phantom Pain launches on September 1 for the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, and Xbox 360, while PES 2016 follows on September 15.
Konami talked about MGSV: TPP:
In Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, the million-selling series takes a giant stride and sets a new standard in stealth-action. A huge, open world setting sees the series’ famed sneaking elements greatly expanded, while a host of new characters – both allies and enemies – tell a story driven by revenge as franchise protagonist Big Boss enters a series of battlefields following the deaths of his colleagues. Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain is brought to vivid life with realistic weather patterns and day/night cycles. Thus, players can adapt their tactics to match the changing environment, creating an intuitive and non-linear gameplay experience.
gamescom 2015 takes place from August 5 – 9, 2015 in Cologne and won’t feature a Sony press conference.
