Castlevania Dev’s Bloodstained Raises $3 Million, PS Vita Stretch Goal Added

Castlevania developer Koji Igarashi’s upcoming title, Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night shows no signs of slowing down when it comes to funding. Having crushed its initial Kickstarter goal and having met various stretch goals, Igarashi has revealed that the game has managed to raise $3 million.

As funds continue to pour in, the developer has added more stretch goals to Bloodstained‘s campaign: asynchronous online multiplayer at $3,250,000 and a PlayStation Vita port at $3,500,000.

Armature Studio will be handling the Vita port if it materializes. The developer said:

We’ll also be working with the development team on the PS4 version to see what we can do to make both platforms complement each other.

We are especially grateful to be able to help out on this, as most of Armature’s games have been released on the PS Vita—that would be Metal Gear Solid HD Collection, Batman: Arkham Origins Blackgate, Injustice, and The Unfinished Swan, in case you’re counting. Our team knows the PS Vita platform inside and out, and we’ll do it justice as we bring you Bloodstained, running on UE4, to the PS Vita. Help us bring Bloodstained where -vania games belong – your hands!

Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night is scheduled for release sometime in March 2017.
