Teasing that there’s an “announcement coming soon,” Kojima Productions tweeted out a link to the Metal Gear Solid V website today, which now includes a countdown clock that ends at 6am PT/9am ET on Wednesday, March 4.
While we aren’t given any further information, IGN says there will be “big” news about Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain on that day, along with a special message from Hideo Kojima.
The obvious guess for this countdown would be that Konami and Kojima Productions are announcing a release date for The Phantom Pain on Wednesday. Or it could be for a wearable turkey hat. Who knows.
