Despite Deep Down having been announced two years ago for PlayStation 4, and Dragon’s Dogma Online being unveiled last month, Capcom Producer Yoshinori Ono told Famitsu in a recent interview that DDO is first in their plans for 2015:
Dragon’s Dogma Online is first. We’re keeping a little quiet for now on Deep Down as we work on it, so please give us a little more time. We might be able to show off something big sometime this year.
For Dragon’s Dogma Online, it will launch first in Japan as that’s their biggest market. For foreign territories, Ono adds, “It’s a matter of trial and error right now, even with Asian markets. But it doesn’t mean we won’t release the game elsewhere.”
Getting back to Deep Down, Capcom’s Kazunori Sugiura says they plan on hedging their bets on it for roughly 15 years:
Deep Down is a game we’re going to be hedging our bets on for, give or take, 15 years, so we can’t put it out at its current visual level and say those graphics will be top-notch. It’s an extreme case, but this game takes five or six times the amount of productivity as Monster Hunter Frontier G.
Elsewhere during the interview, Sugiura said there are “at least 10 unannounced titles” in development at Capcom Online Games.
