Affecting owners of Assassin’s Creed Unity on all platforms, Ubisoft has revealed that they’re working on a fix for the game crashing at the main menu after pressing the CONTINUE button. No timeframe was given for the fix, but hopefully it will be included inside the upcoming Patch 3.
For those of you who haven’t experienced the crash issue, Ubisoft recommends taking these steps to prevent it:
- Do not add any IN-GAME RECENT PLAYER as a GAME CONTACT
- If you already have GAME CONTACTS, perform the following to remove them: My Brotherhood > My Contacts > Game Contacts (using RB/R1) > Focus on a Contact (LS) > More Actions (Y/Triangle) > Remove from contacts.
If you’re still experiencing issues with Unity crashing after trying the workaround, Ubisoft asks you to file a ticket.
Is this particular crash something you’ve encountered in Unity?
