With Naughty Dog admitting that an Uncharted PS4 collection would be a “cool thing to have,” it seems like it’s only a matter of time before Sony confirms the existence of the series remaster.
Those looking for one might just get their wish sooner rather than later. In a post announcing the availability of the YouTube app for the PlayStation 4, the EU PlayStation Blog accidentally revealed Uncharted 3 Uncharted 2 (oddly named Uncharted 3) being uploaded to YouTube via the PS4 app. The only thing is, Uncharted 2 isn’t available — or even announced for the PS4 — just yet. Of course there’s the possibility that the image came from the streaming platform, PS Now — if it’s even allowed; but seeing as Sony is touting its YouTube app, that scenario seems very unlikely.
While the EU PS Blog post has since removed the image, fortunately for us, the German PS Blog still has it up (we’re not sure for how long, though). So, take a look at the image and decide for yourself. Of course, there’s the small possibility that Uncharted 2 is the only one getting a remaster, but common sense and business logic makes this very unlikely.
We’ve reached out to Sony and will update the post if and when it gives an official statement.
In the meantime, would you play the Uncharted series once more if it’s given the remastered treatment? What new features would you like to see in it if ever? A Photo Mode to go along with the new graphics perhaps? And finally, could this be one of the surprise announcements for Sony’s PlayStation Experience in December?
