Well, maybe we’re being a bit too dramatic.
Three guards were suspended three weeks ago, without pay, for bringing videogame devices into the high-security Department of Energy’s Y-12 nuclear weapons plant. One of those videogame devices happened to be the PSP (with transmitting capability), with which was brought into a “protected area” of the plant. This protected area happened to be where they create, dismantle, and recycle nuclear warheads.
A new rule has now been created that all personal bags are to be checked before entering the area. For us, this seems like a good idea.
