Octodad: Dadliest Catch Localized for Japan, Gets New Logo

Octodad: Dadliest Catch will be launching on the PlayStation 4 in Japan with a new logo and a slightly different name. Developer Young Horses’ co-founder Phil Tibitoski revealed the game’s new logo for the Japanese version on Twitter, and mentioned that it will be coming to the Tokyo Game Show as well.

In response to a question regarding the title’s name in Japan, Tibitoski said that “It’s something like Okutodaddo: Don’t Call Me an Octopus.”

Octodad: Dadliest Catch was met with mixed reviews upon release. Our very own Chandler took issue with the game’s length and glitches. Nevertheless, Tibitoski is excited about the game’s Japanese launch, stating that Sony Computer Entertainment Japan did an “awesome job” on the logo.
