Considering how there’s already multiple iterations of the Hasbro Family Game Night franchise, the fact that we’ll be getting even more games based on Hasbro properties isn’t exactly shocking. What’s a little different this time around is that Ubisoft will be developing and publishing the games on consoles, rather than the previous partner, EA.
Specific systems weren’t named in the partnership – just “current and next generation” – though we can expect to have games based off of Monopoly, Scrabble (US and Canada only), Trivial Pursuit, Risk, Battleship, and Cranium.
Mark Blecher, Senior VP and GM of Digital Gaming and Corporate Development at Hasbro, talked about the deal:

Ubisoft’s leadership and expertise in the console gaming space will help support Hasbro’s strategy of bringing consumers engaging play experiences with our brands across multiple platforms.
Tony Key, VP of Sales and Marketing at Ubisoft, also offered up his thoughts:
Hasbro makes games that we all know and love, and we’re thrilled to be able to work with them to create video game experiences based on some of their most popular brands.
