In case you’d forgotten, Foosball 2012 was announced for both the PS3 and PS Vita in March. Featuring cross-play multiplayer as well as game saves (or as Kojima-san would say, transfarring), buy-once, play-twice, and even PlayStation Move functionality thrown in for good measure, this was sounding like one solid PSN release. A solid price and release date was not yet known, however. Those have just been detailed, but wait! There’s more!
Developer Grip Games has set loose a press release all the way from the Czech Republic. The admirably-loaded PSN game now has a few release dates set in stone: July 24th for North and South America, and July 25th for Europe and other territories. Foosball 2012 will also launch with a launch-day demo, so you can try the game and see if it’s worth your money.
Okay, a demo and release date is all well and good, but what kinda price do they think they can get away with for a foosball game, you ask? Actually, a reasonable $7.99 USD/6.99 EUR. If you’re a PlayStation Plus member, then those prices are slashed to $5.99 USD/4.99 EUR. Get ready to leave the bar/pub behind and enjoy up to four-player multiplayer utilizing any combination of DualShock and Vita controllers locally. So, is this an enticing enough feature set and price-point for you to lay down the cash and load up your PSN wallet? Let us know in the comments below.
