Fresh off the heels of the release of Need for Speed: Hot Pursuit, EA has announced the next game in the Need for Speed franchise, using one of the most overused titles in all of gaming.
Need for Speed: Shift 2 Unleashed looks to reshape the racing series once again and extravagantly hypes the new sequel. Currently set for the Spring of 2011, about six or seven months from now, Shift 2 Unleashed will “redefine immersive racing by blending the rush of tearing up the track at unbelievable speeds with the emotional experience of competitive battle. [The] players’ hands [will] sweat and ache as they clutch onto the controller, their pulse races from the break-neck speeds experienced through the first-person cockpit view.” Pretty bold words EA, let’s just hope you can deliver.
