Resident Evil 4 Remake has launched today on PS4 and PS5, but players on the latter console are suffering from a bug that causes flickering lights to appear at the bottom of the screen. Capcom has now issued a workaround for the bug until they can fix the issue properly in a future update.
How to fix the Resident Evil 4 flickering lights
The flickering lights only appear at the bottom of the screen on PS5 when certain settings are selected. While the developer is planning to fix the issue in an upcoming update, here is how to fix the problem in the meantime:
- Save your game and close it. Restart the game.
- If this doesn’t fix the problem, change ONE of the following settings:
- In the Display tab, set Depth of Field to “off”
- In the camera tab, set Motion Blur to “on”
Resident Evil 4 Remake launched today with several changes compared to the original game, but not PSVR 2 compatibility, the rumored longer Separate Ways DLC, or Mercenaries mode.
While both VR mode and Mercenaries mode will be coming at a later date through free updates, Capcom has not confirmed whether Separate Ways will be added to the game. However, there are reports of DLC in the game’s future, so keep your eyes open. For now, take a look at the game’s launch trailer:
