Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has started its latest free multiplayer access weekend today, March 16. The weekend will allow all players across PS5, PS4, PC, Xbox Series X|S, and Xbox One to have access to a small selection of maps and game modes, as well as a single Raid episode.
What maps and modes are included in the Modern Warfare 2 multiplayer free access?
The latest multiplayer free access weekend will give players a chance to try eight game modes, including Team Deathmatch, Domination, and Invasion. These matches will take place on six maps, including the brand-new Himmelmatt Expo map added with yesterday’s Season 2 Reloaded update and the ever-popular Shipment. There will also be the Atomgrad Raid Episode 1 on standard difficulty. This can be played without the Raid Assignment usually gained from completing daily challenges, placing well in Warzone 2.0, or exfilling from DMZ having gathered a fair amount of cash.

The free multiplayer weekend is available right now on PS4 and PS5 now that the “Lobby Not Found” errors have been fixed and will run until 10 AM PT on March 20. Note that the weekend will not allow players access to the Modern Warfare 2 campaign or Spec Ops modes, but those who are interested can download the game from the PlayStation Store. Any progress made during the weekend will be transferred to the full game if players decide to purchase it afterward.
