Where to watch PlayStation State of Play livestream and what to expect
The livestream is embedded below.
Sony confirmed recent reports that this month’s State of Play will have third-party reveals. Rumors of a Metal Gear Solid-related announcement for PS5 have intensified in recent months, but take that with a grain of salt.
According to PS Blog Japan, the showcase will be around 45 minutes long, out of which 15 minutes are reserved for Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League. We won’t be surprised if Sony has a third-party DLC agreement with Warner Bros. akin to Hogwarts Legacy’s PlayStation mission.
Now that PSVR 2 is out on store shelves, Sony plans to showcase five VR games set to arrive later this year. With a total of 16 new games promised for the showcase, there are ten other games that we’ll be treated to but don’t expect a barrage of AAAs. Many (if not nearly all) of them will be small indie games.
We all have our hopes up for a major surprise (or two), though! Let’s see what we get.
