Call of Duty Game 2023

New Call of Duty Game Releasing in 2023 for PS5 and PS4 – Report

A new standalone Call of Duty game, which is currently untitled, will reportedly release in 2023 for both PS5 and PS4. To be developed by Sledgehammer Games with assistance from other studios at Activision, it will be a full, premium game that will apparently be connected in some way to the Modern Warfare franchise. Along with a supposed release date of November 10, the game will include beta weekends and campaign early access as well.

Call of Duty 2023 schedule for beta, early access, and release date

A tentative breakdown of the key dates for this new Call of Duty game, which are consistent with the schedule for past games in the franchise, has been detailed by Insider Gaming through several anonymous sources:

  • Beta 1 – October 6 to October 10
  • Beta 2 – October 12 to October 16
  • Campaign (Early Access) – November 2
  • Release Date – November 10

Currently, the first beta and the campaign early access are seemingly exclusive to PS5 and PS4. This would be particularly good news for Sony, as it was recently reported that more players bought a PS5 for Call of Duty than for other PlayStation console exclusives.

While this new CoD game was rumored to be premium DLC for Modern Warfare 2, Activision decided to turn it into a full standalone release instead. The game is ostensibly called “Modern Warfare 3,” but this title hasn’t been verified likely because the developers have yet to settle on a name yet.

In recent news, it was suggested by a UK regulator that Activision Blizzard should consider selling off or cutting out Call of Duty from its proposed merger with Microsoft.
