Final Fantasy 14 Expansion 2024

No New Final Fantasy 14 Expansion Until 2024

Final Fantasy 14 will not be getting a new expansion until 2024 at least as there are no DLC releases planned throughout 2023. Instead, Square Enix is hoping to keep the attention of players through other means according to statements made in their latest financial results.

Final Fantasy 14 will continue to receive updates

While there won’t be any major expansions throughout 2023, there will be further game updates with new content. Update 6.3, released on January 10, expanded the housing system as well as adding new quests, trials, raids, and a dungeon. This will be followed by update 6.35 which will add Loporrits tribal quests, the Eureka Orthos deep dungeon, Manderville Weapons quests, and more Inspector Hildibrand adventures. While the update doesn’t have a release date just yet, players are expecting it to arrive either at the end of February or the start of March.

Further on into the year, updates 6.4 and 6.5 will introduce more content for the Endwalker expansion. Between them, they will finish adding the Trust System to all Stormblood main story dungeons so they can be played solo. There will also be additional Criterion dungeons, the end of the Pandemonium raids, and the Myths of the Realm Alliance raids. More details on these updates will be revealed in the future.

Beyond this, Square Enix has not announced any definite plans, although they have previously said they intend to support Final Fantasy XIV until at least 2032. Hopefully, the next Final Fantasy 14 expansion will be in 2024.
