The Forspoken cinematic trailer is now available to watch. With just over two weeks to go before the game’s official launch, publisher Square Enix and developer Luminous Productions are no doubt keen to give the game a big final push.

The cinematic trailer shows protagonist Frey Holland moving between New York City and Athia, with its “beautiful yet cruel landscapes.” NYC is her home, and she must find a way back. To do this, she must battle “twisted Breakbeasts and the treacherous Tantas.”
Showcasing both combat and traversal, the trailer highlights key gameplay elements. Though, it might not look quite as elegant when players attempt it.
The trailer ends with a powerful-looking enemy seemingly about to strike. Players will likely face this foe in the game, with the cinematic trailer hinting at that encounter.
Though it won’t match up to the visual spectacle of the pre-rendered cinematic, the Forspoken devs are “sure” that the final game will meet fans’ expectations. As for what PSLS thinks about it, here’s our hands-on gameplay preview.
