It looks like Konami’s gearing up to announce the long rumored Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, if a now-deleted video by its supposed developer is anything to go by. Last year, reports emerged that Konami had tasked Chinese studio Virtuos to handle the remake. Amid the rumors, a former Virtuos employee ended up revealing via a LinkedIn profile update that the studio was indeed working on an “unannounced remake.” This morning, Virtuos uploaded a mysterious teaser that hinted at a reveal at The Game Awards 2022.

The teaser in question, which has now been pulled, contained a morse code. Decoding it reveals “8.12.22,” which is when The Game Awards is scheduled to take place. A copy of the teaser can be viewed below:
