Assassin's Creed Valhalla Title Update 1.6.0

Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Title Update 1.6.0 and Free Forgotten Saga DLC Drop Next Week

Ubisoft has revealed that Assassin’s Creed Valhalla title update 1.6.0 will be arriving on Tuesday, August 2. The much-anticipated endless Forgotten Saga mode will also launch on the same day as free DLC. Then just a few days later on August 4, another run of the free time-limited event Sigrblot Festival will make a welcome return and last for three weeks until August 25.

How the AC Valhalla’s Forgotten Saga will work

While we don’t have much information on what the 1.6.0 update will bring, details on the Forgotten Saga have already been shared. Originally unveiled during the Assassin’s Creed 15th Anniversary Celebration livestream, it is an endless, “rogue-lite inspired” game mode that Ubisoft intends to be the centerpiece for Valhalla’s Year Two content.

From the short trailer on the Forgotten Saga, the mode will see Eivor voluntarily descend into Niflheim, otherwise known as the Realm of the Dead. There, he will need to defeat undead monsters and hellish spawn commanded by daughter of Loki. Similar to the overall design of Hades, players will need to select specific rewards after each stage in the hopes of making a build where Eivor can survive until the end. But even if he is defeated, the trailer suggests that you’ll be able to carry over some sort of progression that will make his subsequent attempts through Niflheim easier.

In case you missed the Sigrblot Festival last year, it is a Norse holiday celebrating the start of the summer season and involves making sacrifices to Odin for safe travel and fruitful raids. To access the event, your settlement Ravensthorpe must be at least Level 2 and you need to finish one of the story arcs based in England. Like other seasonal events like the Ostara Festival, you can collect Festival Tokens by completing various mini-games and events, and then trade those tokens for cosmetics like tattoos, settlement decorations, haircuts, beards, and possible skins for your bird.

In other news, the secret church in Nier: Automata is actually a mod, and the latest update for The Sims 4 accidentally allowed for incest.
