No More Heroes 3 Release Date for PS5 and PS4 Revealed, No Longer Switch Exclusive

The No More Heroes 3 release date has been revealed for PS5 and PS4, along with Xbox and PC platforms. The game was originally released as a Nintendo Switch exclusive in August last year, and will finally reach these new platforms on October 11, 2022 in North America, which falls right in line with the original Fall 2022 release window. The port will come with better frame rates, enhanced visuals, and faster loading times compared to the Switch release.

No More Heroes 3 Day 1 Edition details

The game’s publisher Xseed for North America will have a deluxe Day 1 Edition for PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series/Xbox One. The physical package will cost $59.99 and is still available for pre-order from multiple outlets, including Amazon, GameStop, and the Xseed Store. The Day 1 Edition will come with the following:

  • 5.3″ x 7.3″ softcover 70-page art book
  • CD featuring songs from the game’s soundtrack (the cover has Travis Touchdown walking toward a red motorcycle like Akira)
  • 7″ x 4″ Santa Destroy commemorative biker license palte
  • Custom Box with an original illustration
  • Physical Box with game disc

The digital edition of No More Heroes 3 will cost $59.99 and arrive on PS5, PS4, Xbox Series consoles, Xbox One, Microsoft Store, and Steam on October 11 as well.

In No More Heroes 3, otaku assassin Travis Touchdown is forced to defend Earth after being in retirement for a long time. While he was the number-one assassin, he needs to prove that he’s not just a middle-aged has-been who talks to cats. While the Switch release was criticized for having substandard graphics and performance, the improvements coming to the game on these new platforms should help.

In July 2019, Suda51 revealed through an interview with Dengeki Online that he’s had conversations with publisher Marvelous in Japan to see if it would be interested in remastering the first two No More Heroes games.

In other news, PSN was temporarily down in America and Europe possibly due to Stray being available for download today, and Doom creator John Romero has announced a new first-person shooter based on a new IP with a major publisher.
