Ubisoft will be ending support for Ghost Recon Breakpoint. The Operation Motherland mode proved to be the final update for the game with no further updates planned. However, the game’s servers will remain online and Ubisoft Paris will continue to maintain the servers for both Breakpoint and Ghost Recon Wildlands in the future even after support ends.
Why is support ending for Ghost Recon Breakpoint?
Ghost Recon Breakpoint was released over two years ago. Throughout that period, Ubisoft Paris has released 11 updates containing new content, crossovers with other Ubisoft franchises, the “Plant a Tree Project”, and the controversial NFTs in Ubisoft Quartz. The team no longer plans to create any more content for Breakpoint and the majority will likely move on to other projects, such as Ghost Recon Frontline. They will continue to maintain the online servers for Breakpoint, as well as Ghost Recon Wildlands, and there are no plans to take either game offline anytime soon after support ends. Ubisoft’s full statement can be read below:
First, we just want to say thank you for all the love and support you have brought to the game.
During the past 2 years, we released more than 11 Updates and supported several unique initiatives. From the Ghost Experience, the return of AI Teammates, Special operations with Sam Fisher; working with R6 operators in Operation Amber Sky, and lastly our “plant a tree project” we have been hard at work to add extra content for Ghost Recon Breakpoint.
The last four months marked the release of our final piece of content: the brand new Operation Motherland mode, tons of new items including 20th anniversary iconic outfits and Quartz items for Ghost Recon Breakpoint. We will continue to maintain our servers for both Ghost Recon Wildlands and Ghost Recon Breakpoint and we truly hope you will continue to enjoy the game and have fun playing in solo or co-op with your friends.
From the entire Ghost Recon team, we want to thank you again for your continued support and love you have for the franchise. The feedback you’ve given for Ghost Recon Breakpoint has been instrumental and will help shape the future of the franchise.
Until next time, Ghosts.

In other news, a PS4 version of The House of the Dead Remake has been found on the PSN backend, although the game is only confirmed for Nintendo Switch right now. Elsewhere, Bandai Namco has redesigned its company logo.
