At long last, developer Crows Crows Crows has finally confirmed that The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe release date will be sooner than we might have thought. Arriving on April 27 for consoles, it will be available for PS5 and PS4, along with releases on PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X.
The long, long road to The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe release date
To say that the release of the console version for this highly-acclaimed cult hit on PC, which originally released all the way back in July 2011, has been tumultuous would be a severe understatement.
It’s uncertain whether the developer was attempting to make some meta-commentary on the Kafka-esque delays for Ultra Deluxe, but PSLS has covered this many times before. To take you on the journey, we said that it was coming to consoles in 2019… before revealing that it was being “happily” pushed to 2020… before saying that it was due to release in 2021.

So when the developer released a tweet on its official account saying that it was indeed arriving within a month’s time (though it’s suspiciously close to April Fool’s, no?), it was difficult to take it seriously. But we’re seeing this through.
As the name suggests, The Stanley Parable: Ultra Deluxe is a remaster of the original cult hit that also packages together plenty of additional content. Without spoiling too much, though it has been out for over a decade now, the game puts you in the role of the office worker Stanley in Room 427 (hence, the 4/27 release date) as he attempts to navigate his confusing, overbearing workplace. The accompanying narrator comments on everything you do, sometimes plainly, sometimes condescendingly, and sometimes with complete surprise at your antics.
In other news, the PS Store Spring Sale has kicked off today with hundreds of games on discount, and Riot Games is gearing up for a console release for Valorant.
