PlayStation 5 and PlayStation 4 players are having a hard time with critically-acclaimed beat-em-up Sifu‘s early access. According to developer Sloclap, the problem has been resolved but players continue to report that they aren’t able to download the game. From the looks of it, the issue is occurring on PlayStation’s side and Sloclap is in constant communication with Sony’s engineers to figure it out.
Here are some workarounds for Sifu’s early access problems
If you’re still not able to download Sifu, Sloclap suggests launching the game directly from your library rather than the PlayStation Store, but only after restarting your console. You can also try your luck by restoring licenses. Go to settings, then User and Accounts, then Other, and choose Restore Licenses. If these steps fail, send a message to Sloclap over on Twitter with your PSN ID, region, and platform. Alternatively, you can try the following workaround by Twitter user SSJdavey, which seems to have worked for some players:
For everyone having issues I have a workaround for you:
– add an item to your library (I used a ps+ exclusive pack for apex legends)
– go back to your library and click on Sifu to download itIt worked for me! GOOD LUCK https://t.co/omboyjwnDc

Sloclap apologized for the problem and said that Sifu Deluxe Edition owners, who were entitled to early access, will receive an exclusive gift to make up for the mess. Details of the gift will be shared in due course and we’ll keep our readers posted.
The PlayStation teams have told us the early access issue is now resolved, and the game can now be downloaded! Again, we’re very sorry to all players who were hoping to play earlier today, we’ll have an exclusive gift for all Deluxe edition holders to share with you soon !

In other news, rumor has it that Rockstar Games is still working on Bully 2 alongside GTA 6, and Santa Monica Studio is hiring for a new “large-scale” project that doesn’t seem to be God of War-related.
