Castlevania Advance Collection PS4

Castlevania Advance Collection Appears on Taiwan Rating Board, May Get a Surprise Launch Today as Part of Nintendo Direct

Following its appearance on the Australian Classifications Board earlier this year, a new listing on the Taiwan Ratings Board reveals that Castlevania Advance Collection is coming to PS4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC. Additionally, the new listing also includes logo art for the game.

Back in June, a listing for Castlevania Advance Collection was leaked by the Australian Classifications Board website. The listing mentioned that the game would release on several platforms, but did not specify which platforms. Furthermore, while there was speculation that the collection would feature past Castlevania titles, there was no confirmation on which titles it would include.

With the Taiwan Ratings Board listing, however, we now know that the game will release for current-gen consoles as well as PC. In addition to this, the listing’s description has confirmed that the collection will include Castlevania: Circle of the Moon, Castlevania: Harmony of Dissonance, Castlevania: Aria of Sorrow, and Castlevania: Dracula X. All of these titles—with the exception of Dracula X which released on PC—were originally released for the Game Boy Advance from 2001 to 2003. Notably, Castlevania Advance Collection looks like it is using the original cover art from Circle of the Moon.

In addition to the above-mentioned games, the description also reveals that it will include a “rewind function” as well as other features to make gameplay easier. Furthermore, the collection will include unreleased artwork from the classic titles, likely in a gallery mode similar to other recently re-released games. Finally, the description also lists a “Launch Date” of September 23, 2021, though whether more not they actually mean the game will drop within the next 24 hours is unconfirmed. Perhaps it will be a surprise release as part of today’s Nintendo Direct.

Konami has been re-releasing past Castlevania titles for a while now. Back in 2019, the Castlevania Anniversary Collection was leaked in a similar fashion via the Australian Classifications Board before releasing a day later.
