Life Is Strange, Vampyr Studio Dontnod Entertainment Introduces Permanent Work-From-Home Policy

French studio Dontnod Entertainment has announced that it has adopted a permanent work-from-home policy for all employees in both Paris and Montreal locations, giving them a choice to either work remotely or work from the office.

In a press release, Dontnod said that although it initially began testing its Fully Remote Organization (FROG) scheme before the pandemic struck, the worldwide shutdowns accelerated FROG’s implementation. In October 2020, Dontnod conducted an employee survey to gather feedback on the policy, and found that a whopping 87 percent of its workforce was in favor of FROG.

Dontnod currently has over 250 employees.

“Our teams have shown extraordinary resilience during this period and I would like to thank them for their hard work, dedication and adaptability, which have enabled Dontnod to continue to evolve, and to ensure the successful release of two games in 2020, Tell Me Why and Twin Mirror,” said Chief Executive Officer, Oskar Guilbert. “The well-being and health of every Dontnodian is a priority and the FROG program is designed with this in mind. We know that everyone has different needs and different ways of functioning and that is why we wanted to create a program that would give everyone the freedom to choose how they want to organize their day-to-day lives. FROG should allow our talents to grow in their professional and personal lives.”

As the world began opening up late last year, numerous companies across various industries announced that they found no impact on productivity stemming from remote working, and will continue to allow their employees to choose between working from home and/or office.
