Koei Tecmo has released a new trailer highlighting Dynasty Warriors 9‘s recently introduced co-op mode, and the game’s future DLC and update plans.
The co-op mode, which launched earlier this week, supports online and offline play. Those who download Dynasty Warriors 9‘s free demo starting November 1 will also be able to play the mode.

An official description of the title is as follows:
In Dynasty Warriors 9, you will experience an immersive open world adventure featuring the signature One Versus Thousands style action in the series most ambitious entry to date. The players will explore China as it existed when feudal warlords vied for dominance over the land – the waning days of the Han dynasty and emergence of the Three Kingdoms era. Setting out to complete various objectives, players will utilize an unprecedented world map to navigate and traverse a variety of different landscapes ranging from vast plains to snow-covered peaks presented with dynamic day/night and weather cycles. The players can explore these impressive environments and engage with the surroundings to gain an upper hand in battle.

Watchtowers
Among the trees lining the pathways are watchtowers. If you find one, be sure to climb up it to gather information about the surrounding area.

Information Gathering
By looking out at the surrounding area from the watchtower, information covering a wide area will become available, providing valuable information for missions and exploring.

Wild Clusters
In the forests, mountain ranges and waterfronts far from pathways are clusters of land where materials can be found. Rare items can be obtained, so discovering these clusters will assist in effectively advancing the crafting of weapons and items.

Box Traps
By setting box traps and leaving them for a certain amount of time, items such as tools can be obtained. There are three sizes of traps (large, medium and small) and bigger traps increase the chances of obtaining more valuable items.

Fishing
At fishing holes located in cities, materials and coins can be obtained.

Hunting
Wild animals such as wolves and bears can be hunted. Crafting arrows most effective against wild animals will aid in mastering the art of the hunt.

Hunting Points
Hunting Points are earned from hunting, and rewards such as coins and gems can be obtained from the Dilettante according to the Hunting Points earned.
