When Red Dead Redemption 2 releases on October 26, 2018, it will come with a hefty file size. Fortunately, those who are buying it digitally will be able to get the jump on installing it on their systems. Considering how long an install like that may take, this is certainly welcome news.
Rockstar Games announced on Twitter that those who preordered Red Dead Redemption 2 digitally can preload the game starting on Friday, October 19, 2018, at 12 am EST.

That’s exactly a week before launch, so it’s plenty of time to clear some time (or space) to install it. It’s also plenty of time to finally upgrade your storage in preparation, as well. After all, you’ll want to be able to play Red Dead Redemption 2 as soon as it’s available, right?
Of course, this only applies to those buying the game digitally, not physically. In fact, it’s looking like physical copies of Red Dead Redemption 2 might come with two discs. In other Red Dead Redemption 2 news, the launch trailer will be arriving on October 18, 2018.
Red Dead Redemption 2 releases on October 26, 2018 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
