A new generation of consoles is on the horizon. When it comes to Sony’s next piece of hardware it’s a matter of when, not if. That day gets closer and closer as more “PlayStation 5” related news surfaces. Most recently, it’s the next generation related job listings spotted by ResetEra users TheRaidenPT and Gemüsepizza.
One posting on LinkedIn shows Sony Interactive Entertainment is seeking a Senior Product Manager who will be tasked with “own[ing] the roadmap for next generation PlayStation campaign.” Incentives for joining the team include “join[ing] a group of passionate [employees] attempt[ing] to build an exciting platform from ground up.” All of this hints at the PS5, although there’s no word on the system’s name or even codename just yet. Requirements also include having “an eye for simple and intuitive user interfaces” which gives me hope for a more streamlined experience.
Additionally, a listing on Glassdoor appeared for a Senior Software Engineer. The details were similarly geared towards the future of Sony.
