dragon quest 11 patch

Dragon Quest XI Patch Issued to Squish Some Bugs

Dragon Quest XI is a massive game that is especially full of text, and that usually means some problems slip through. Even through the North American version is already a bit different from the original Japanese release, players have run into a few snags. Luckily, Square Enix seems to be maintaining the game, and a patch has been issued today to fix some of the problems. Luckily, it seems like the list of changes is pretty small, compared to the PC version.

Here are the official patch notes, which were posted in an update on Square Enix’s website:

  • We’ve identified a bug which can sometimes cause the game to crash when the player is 300m away from their horse on the field, this has been fixed.
  • People’s names (such as “Robert”) have been removed from the list of prohibited words when selecting the main character’s name at the beginning of the game.
  • Multiple text bugs have been fixed.

For the PC version, the same three changes for the PlayStation 4 version are listed, along with a larger list of several PC-oriented additions, such as frame rate options, error reporting, specific key-bindings and some visual settings.
