Kingdom Hearts -The Story So Far- Announced to Help Players Catch Up

One of the most polarizing aspects of the Kingdom Hearts franchise is just how massive and confusing it can feel to outsiders. In preparation for Kingdom Hearts III, Square Enix is offering players an affordable way to catch up with (or fresh their memory on) the story with Kingdom Hearts –The Story So Far–.

Releasing on the PlayStation 4 on October 30, 2018 for $39.99, this collection will include the following, as stated in the official press release:

Kingdom Hearts HD 1.5+2.5 ReMIX

  • Kingdom Hearts Final Mix
  • Kingdom Hearts Re:Chain of Memories
  • Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (HD Remastered cinematics)
  • Kingdom Hearts II Final Mix
  • Kingdom Hearts: Birth by Sleep Final MIX
  • Kingdom Hearts Re:coded (HD Remastered cinematics)

Kingdom Hearts HD 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue

  • Kingdom Hearts: Dream Drop Distance HD
  • Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep –A fragmentary passage–
  • Kingdom Hearts χ Back Cover (movie)

Playing through this collection isn’t the only way to catch up as Kingdom Hearts III will include a recap with the game.

Kingdom Hearts –The Story So Far– is available for preorder now. You’ll have three months to make your way through this collection, if you want to have it done before Kingdom Hearts III releases on January 29, 2019 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
