Fortnite continues to be one of the most dynamic, continuously evolving games on the market. With seasons, weekly updates, and no shortage of limited-time modes, there’s always something new in the world of Fortnite. Disco Domination is next in line.
Announced by an in-game news update, Disco Domination is a LTM in which players “capture and defend Dance Floors around the island using emotes to earn points.”
The constant threat of being being unexpectedly taken down while doing the boneless emote will create some amusing, yet tens,e moments. So often in modes like this, the first groups to capture the areas can easily dominate the entire match, but having to negotiate between racking up points and staying safe should help create some competitive games.
Emotes are typically used as a celebration/taunt, but considering what a huge role cosmetics play in Fortnite culture, it’s pretty cool that these dances and gestures will have a direct impact on matches for a change. With in-game dance parties not being uncommon, this feels like a great addition for the community.
We’re still waiting on more details, but it’s likely that we’ll get additional information in this week’s Fortnite update which, if history is any indicator, should happen Thursday since it wasn’t posted today (Tuesday).
Until the official content update drops, be sure to familiarize yourself with everything Season 6 has to offer.
