PlayStation Awards, the annual event run by Sony interactive Entertainment Asia, is happening on December 3, 2018. The event will be held at the Grand Prince Hotel New Takanawa in Tokyo, and the event will be livestreamed on YouTube as well. Also, voting is now open for the User’s Choice award.
Primarily, the PlayStation Awards show recognizes games based on sales in Asian territories. There are the Platinum and Gold Prizes for games that reached over one million and half a million sales, respectively (last year also had a Double Platinum Prize, awarded to Minecraft for surpassing two million), the PlayStation Network Award for the top three PSN titles, the PlayStation VR award (also a top three), the Indies & Developer Award, and the User’s Choice Award, which goes to the top ten games as voted by PlayStation users in Japan and Asia.
If you have a qualifying PlayStation Network account, you can head over to the voting site and cast your vote on five games you think are the best. You can also add comments, and then vote on other voters’ comments. The voter who has the best-rated comments at the end will receive a prize package of a PlayStation 4 Pro and a PlayStation VR.
