Kinda Funny’s Greg Miller Offers to Hold Games Showcase in Absence of PSX 2018

Shawn Layden broke some hearts yesterday when he revealed that Sony will not be holding a PlayStation Experience event in 2018. Although disappointing, the announcement didn’t come as a huge surprise as a lot of PS4 heavy hitters have already been released, and there isn’t enough material for the company to hold a grand event, which it has been doing every year since 2014.

There’s some good news, however. Kinda Funny Games’ Greg Miller has announced that the company plans to “fill the void” by holding a showcase of its own a week after The Game Awards 2018 show is set to take place. Miller’s tweet immediately attracted responses from quite a few developers including Devolver Digital, Housemarque, and Annapurna Interactive.

To be clear, Kinda Funny’s showcase won’t be on the same scale as PSX but do expect “trailers, dev diaries, etc.”

The Game Awards is scheduled to take place on December 6.
