The Surge DLC ‘The Good, the Bad, and the Augmented’ Unveiled

The folks at Focus Home Interactive and Deck13 Interactive have informed us that the The Surge expansion “The Good, the Bad, and the Augmented” is set to launch next month. The action-RPG The Surge is going to get the brand new downloadable content on October 2, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.

Check out the teaser trailer, which just arrived, giving us a quick glimpse of a tech savvy Wild West:

Okay, so what’s the DLC really about? Players will be exploring the CREO facility as well as the abandoned Quality Assurance lab. You’ll come up against Dr. Rischboter’s test chambers and even though you will be training in the Dr.’s lab, you may feel like you are actually in the Wild West.

Your job is to complete training rooms that were created by the mad doctor. Your task will also be to attempt to modify these rooms on your own. If you do so, you will get more rewards. You can mix up to four modifiers (out of the 16 that are on offer). When a section comes to an end, the player must face an even bigger task – going up against Challengers, who are extremely tough enemies. Here’s the beautiful part though, defeating them is like stepping into a gold mine. These guys pack all sorts of goodies, like 30 unique equipment pieces (armors, weapons, and implants), all of which are yours for the taking.

Newbie players can opt to grab The Surge Augmented Edition, which is going to offer the full game and all the downloadable content – The Good, the Bad and the Augmented as well as the previously released A Walk in the Park.

Focus Home Interactive also offered the “Cutting Edge Pack” freely (complete with new armor sets, weapons and jumpsuits).

The full game can be purchased right now for PC and consoles.
