2K Sports appears to be upping the ante, when it comes to the story mode in NBA 2K19. Of course, more and more publishers have been hopping on this particular bandwagon—boosting the narrative for a sports game—such as with Madden 18‘s Longshot mode. When it comes to NBA 2k19′s MyCAREER mode, it seems Visual Concepts and 2K Sports have spared no expense, as the voice acting talent is on point.
Some of the NBA 2k19 cast has been revealed in a trailer released just in time for gamescom 2018. According to the publisher, players go through The Way Back, which features your character making his way through the Chinese Basketball League and into the NBA. Stars like Anthony Mackie (Avengers: Infinity War), Haley Joel Osment (The Sixth Sense), Ricky Whittle (American Gods), and Aldis Hodge (Straight Outta Compton) are all involved.

As a reminder, three-time NBA Champion, four-time NBA MVP and avid NBA 2K gamer LeBron James will be on the cover of the NBA 2K19 20th Anniversary Edition. Furthermore, rapper Travis Scott, whose album Astroworld released in August 2018, has been named as Executive Producer for the NBA 2K19 Soundtrack.
NBA 2K19 is going to be available for the PlayStation 4, the Xbox One, the Nintendo Switch, and the PC on September 11, 2018. Those who purchase the NBA 2K19 20th Anniversary Edition can play four days early and start on September 7, 2018.
